Dr. Doig (1875-1928) had previously graduated from
and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and other fraternities, Knights of
Pythias, Ancient Order of Foresters, and Woodsmen of
He practiced at
, before moving to
. about 1904. He was a physician in private practice and on the staff of
until he was killed in an auto accident in Nyack in 1928.
Dr. Doig was the son of Rev. Robert Doig, a Reformed Church
L. Garretson. His wife, Anna M. Haldeman, whose
ancestors dated back to the American Revolution, was my grandmother.
